Wow, July appears to be a very busy month! We just found out that Roles has been accepted into the Sacramento International Film & Music Festival - Summerfest 2011! Looking forward to going to California and seeing some old friends, and their films! Hopefully this will be the first of many festivals for this project.

July 2011
I just got word that I was chosen to be one of the filmmakers to go to the Taliesin Nexus workshop in Los Angeles at UCLA in August. I'm so grateful for the opportunity and I can't wait to get there.

Just finished another segment for The Block, and what a blast we had shooting it! I want to thank the cast and crew, especially everyone that came all the way from NYC to work on this project, for making it a wonderful experience. Final scenes shooting later this Summer, and we expect to have a final edit early in the fall!
April 2011
My short film Roles has wrapped! We had a day of intense rehearsals and a very long day of shooting that followed. It was tough work, but it paid off! The rough cut is looking great and we hope to have a fine cut polished by June 1st!! Thanks to everyone who worked so hard on the shoot and thank you to Little Italy for not only allowing us to shoot at the restaurant, but making us feel so welcome. And of course I want to also thank MPI for helping me make this project happen.
April 2011
Both leads for my short film Roles have been cast! Two very talented NYC actors will be taking on the "Roles" of Matt and Connor; Jessica Piervicenti and Matthew Watson. We'll be shooting at the end of the month and plan on having a final cut in early June.
Short Synopsis:
Roles is a comedy about a newlywed couple who begin experimenting with role- playing. It is, of course, a great awakener for them and it seems as though all is well, but as they both become addicted to it, reality starts to become skewed. After realizing that they need to come back to themselves, they find that they don't really know who they are anymore.
March 2011
Casting choices have been made! For the completion of my short film The Block, previously titled Writer's Block, I've finally found my leading lady, Carlotta Bosch. We will be shooting her final scenes with voice over in early June.

I've also cast my final three supporting characters for The Block, actors Stephen Hadeed Jr., Ben Grimaldi, and Illya Konstantin.
We'll be shooting their scenes on May 9th.

March 2011
2 days of casting last weekend in Brooklyn and it went great! I can't believe the amazing talent in NYC. So excited to work with all of them. Shoot in exactly one month and still lots to do, like secure my location. Fingers crossed...
Jan 2011
I've finished the short script for Roles under the MPI Fellowship and now I'm getting ready to move into pre-production. I've found a great producer and can't wait to start the casting process. This will be my first Pennsylvania production and I'm very excited to make some East Coast film contacts.
Dec 2010

Sad to leave California, but anxious to get home and start editing what's been shot thus far for Writer's Block. I want to thank everyone who worked on the CA production of this project. Still need to cast four more parts and finish the final shooting in PA. But that will have to wait till winter, as those scenes take place in the snow.

May 2010
Just booked tickets to California to shoot two short films this summer - The List and Writer's Block. I can't wait to work with some of my dear old Sacramento colleagues, and visit with friends and family. Might even try to squeeze in a commercial and music video while I'm there too!

March 2010
Just started work on a 2 nd novelty book, a satirical diet book titled, How to Not Get Fat , and other tips for maintaining "average". I think I'll be self-publishing this one just for fun. Should be completed by August 2010.

January 2010
Just finished development on Love is a Dairy Product, and the script is locked. Looks like we may be shooting this summer in New York and Oregon!

Working on a companion book to Love is a Dairy Product and having a blast with it!
October 2009
Decided today that The Last Summer needs to be a book first. Switching gears will hopefully prove better results, but I need a break first. Drama is, well, too dramatic for me.

June 2009
Just enjoying the new digs in PA, and working diligently on my feature script, The Last Summer . This is only my second attempt at writing a drama, so wish me luck; the comedy comes easy but the drama takes some serious work. I think I might have to squeeze some humor in there somewhere. Tee-hee-hee.

June 2009
OK, so I never got to finish writing or shooting my short because spur of the moment, we decided to move to the East Coast. AND, I have to admit, I was ready for the change. SO thrilled not to spend another summer in Hot, HOT, Sacramento. Don't get me wrong; I love Sacramento, but 110, common man!!!!! So, Here I am in PA, loving the moist summer rain, and all the green trees. It looks a lot like I'm surrounded by mountains of broccoli, and I love broccoli! It's so beautiful here. New Jersey rocks too!

With the education doc, Not as Good as You Think, wrapped, and " Love is a Dairy Product " in development, I'm finding myself itching to make something now! So, I'm fleshing out a short film script that I plan to shoot within the next couple of months. I'm obsessed with actors right now, so I can't wait to start casting. I hope that I can pull this off before summer.
December 2008
My feature length script " Love is a Dairy Product " has been optioned and is now in development! The film is slated for production in 2009 and I will be directing. I could not be more smitten. I am working very hard with re-writes and other such development duties, but I love every hard day and the grindstone. I can't wait to see what 2009 looks like for this project, since I've been making this film in my head for five years now. I love my characters, I love the story, I love everything about this film, and I can't wait to make it!
November 19, 2008
Principal photography has wrapped for the school choice education documentary, Not as Good as You Think. I learned so much about documentary production; it was quite a journey that I truly enjoyed. Thank you to director Nick Tucker for giving me this opportunity, and to Lucas Abel for his awesome cinematography, and tenacity. I can't wait for the next one. Trailer coming soon!!! You just wait people, you'll never look at the public school system the same again!
